Pu Kunal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Saiha inaugurated Seminar on PMEGP at DIC Training Hall on 17th September, 2010.

In his inaugural speech, the Chief Guest stated that PMEGP is one of the Flagship Programmes of Prime Minister of India. The Scheme emphasized creation of Micro and Small Enterprises and generation of Employment opportunities both in the rural and urban areas. The Deputy Commissioner further stated emphasized that for any upliftment of economic status, the primary objectives are:-

Agriculture and allied products etc. in which the Industrial process is the final. He urged the participants to properly utilized the loan under the Scheme and be straightforward for recovery. Non-recovery of loans brings negative opinion to the Banker’s and hindered sanctioning of loans to the next applicants. He thanked the Industries Department for organizing such kind of fruitful seminar. 125 entrepreneurs participated in the Seminar organized by DIC Saiha. The second session was meant Technical Session in which different topics relating to PMEGP Scheme were given by different categories of Resource persons.
