Introduction The Office of the Assistant Controller,Printing and Stationery(Forms and Stationery Depot) Saiha had been set up and started functioning since 1984.The main purpose(duty) of this being to cater to needs in Stationery and Allied items of Government Offices within Saiha and Lawngtlai Districts at non profit and pre- payment basis.All Items are procured from Departmental main depot at Luangmual,Aizawl from time to time according to requirement placed from this end at stock transfer basis.
Process of Issue(Sale)
of Articles
On reciept of requirements from Indenting Officer (i.e. District Offices) Profoma Bills with treasury challans are prepared and on reciept of Original Paid Challans , duly tendered in favour of the Controller ,Printing and Staionery ,Mizoram under the Head of Accounts :2058 -Stationery And Printing,101-purchase and Supply of Stationeries,101 -Forms and Stationery,101(1)(43) suspense:the materials so indented are delivered through delivery challans.
Non-Availability of
Articles
As for the Articlesnot available in the stock,Non Avialable Certificates are issued to the indenting officer with the support of which only the Treasury Officer May pass the bill for such items purchased from local dealers
Request All Heads of Offices/DDOs within Saiha and Lawngtlai Districts are therefore reminded to refer to Govt. Memorandum No.D.29012/1/2002 P&S date 20.12.2007 and requested to procure their requirement in Stationery and Allied Items only from Govt. Stationery Depot,With view to ensure economy in purchase of Stationery and Allied Items.

The existing registered units were set up by the proprietors/entrepreneurs after speculating the business prospect of the goods / products they are going to manufacture / produce. Apart from giving technical guidance for project formulation, the entrepreneurs were advised to take pre-consideration of goods / products, which are in good demand at the market for setting up of a new industrial unit; raw materials that are available locally are generally recommended and encouraged. At present the DIC, Saiha is implementing only one centrally sponsored scheme - PMRY. Calling of applications through advertisement, selection of candidates / beneficiaries through Task Force Committee forwarding of their applications with supported documents to the SBI, Saiha and Lawngtlai for further action and providing short-course training to the selected beneficiaries, etc. were the implementing duties performed by DIC, Saiha. Details of information were clearly printed in the PMRY manual which can be seen in the DIC Office during office hour. At present DIC, Saiha can afford the following supports for entrepreneurs:
1. Technical guidance and training facilities.
2. Grant-In-Aid
3. Subsidies of the following;

* Central Transport Subsidy (CTS)
* Interest Subsidy
* Power Subsidy
* Subsidy on Power Generation Set
* State Transport Subsidy on Plant & Machineries
