| FUNCTIONS |
The DIPRO, Saiha also looks after the Information Centre at Tuipang.
As the I&PR Department is unable to post an I&PRO at Lawngtlai due to shortage of Officers, the DIPRO, Saiha currently looks after the DIPRO Office, Lawngtlai, alongwith its two Information Centres at Chawngte and Sangau. The new DIPRO Office building at Lawngtlai is almost completed, and a DIPRO is expected to be posted there soon so that they can function separately.

| NATURE OF WORKS |
The DIPRO office serves to inform the public about various government programmes, schemes/projects, policies and achievements by issuing Press Releases, regulates departmental advertisements, providing press, photo and video coverages of official & VIP programmes, manages the media, and also strives to maintain healthy relations between the public and the government under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner.The DIPRO also arranges street announcement for public notice as and when necessary, and provides sound (PA) system for official meetings and programmes.

| CONFERENCE HALL |
An I&PR Conference Hall, with a seating capacity of 100, was recently constructed with modern equipments & utilities, which can be utilised by any department for all kinds of official programmes at a charge of Rs.500 /- per day. The Hall is equipped with efficient sound system alongwith high-powered UPS, so that users need not have to hire sound system separately, or worry about power failure. There is ample parking space for vehicles.
