Office of the Superintendent of Excise, Chhimtuipui District, Saiha was established on 7th july,1989 and
functioned for the last 15 years till today and was headed by Superintendent of Excise.

The Superintendent of Excise is the Head of Office and its staffEnforcement, Ministerials,
accounts and Technical branches are fullpledged status of the District. The area of operation covers the undivided
Chhimtuipui District.
Nature of Works : The main duty and nature of works done by the Excise Department is prevention and detection
of Excise and Narcotics Crimes within the District.
Achievement etc. : The achievement made by the Department during the year 2003-2004 are as follows :-
1. Revenue Collection : Rs.1,54,750/-
2. No.of persons arrested under : 360 persons. M.E.Act. '73.
3. No.of cases registered under : 348 Cases M.E.Act. '73.
