Saiha District is the remotest and backward district in the Mizoram state having 77 villages with a population of 61,056 with covering area of 1444 Sq. KM. For administrative set up the district is divided into two
sub-divisions,namely Saiha Sub-division and tuipang Sub-division including two rural developement blocks at Saiha and Tuipang. Saiha District is having two Assembly Constituencies,such as 39-Saiha(SC)ST and 40-
Palak(SC) ST with 16,383 and 15,255 voters respectively with 66 plling stations.
The Deputy Commissioner ,Saiha being the Administrator of the Disrict, he is the chairman of all Committee constituted in the office of the Deputy Commissioner,Saiha.The Deputy Commissioenrs's office, Saiha is
implementing certain centrally sponsored schemes through DRDA and BDOs to facilate the benefit to the public.
The Land and Revenue etc. will be controlled by the Mara Autonomous District Council.Pu S. Khipo is the Chief Executive Member
of the council.Pu. F.C. Zase is the Chairman and another 8 Executive Members are the executive body of the Council
For the adminisrative purpose,allmost all head of offices have been posted at Saiha and giving due attention for the rapid developement of the district.
